This is Episode 41 of our weekly series about everything happening in the co-op world!
This week, we’ve got the most magical collaboration of the year, a new co-op ARPG that’s better played solo for now, and more exciting news from the gaming world!
Titan Quest 2 has hit Early Access, and while it's already being hailed as a potential Diablo and Path of Exile competitor, its co-op mode is still in rough shape. The developers are calling it experimental, so it’s better to wait before diving in with friends.
In a more adorable twist, Frieren is teaming up with Identity V for a new crossover, bringing anime-style heroes and challenges to the game’s spooky manor. It’s a free-to-play experience, but be prepared for some gacha mechanics!
World of Warcraft players are diving into the Ghosts of K’aresh chapter, with exciting new zones, dungeons, and an updated PvP experience. Meanwhile, the upcoming expansion Midnight promises early access to highly anticipated player housing.
Then, there’s Pax Dei, which has taken a disastrous turn. What started as a promising medieval sandbox MMO has turned into a mess of unfulfilled promises, with a subscription model coming soon and some pretty upset fans.
In other news, Nintendo’s raised prices on its consoles and accessories, while The First Descendant introduces a new playable character. Plus, Rust is going mobile, Guilty Gear Strive is crossing over with Cyberpunk: Edgerunner, and Naraka: Bladepoint brings a new high-mobility hero to the game.
And if you’re into Metal Gear Solid 5, a new co-op mod is under development, allowing two players to team up and tackle missions together—although it’s still a bit buggy.
For those looking for free games, The Elder Scrolls Online is free this weekend, while Lynked and Road Redemption are both offering free trials as well!
