This year's Tokyo Game Show has come to a close and left us with some exciting co-op and multiplayer game announcements to look forward to for 2024 and 2025.
During the Xbox Broadcast hosted by Phil Spencer, we did not only get more information about which titles will be coming to the Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, but also got teased with realeases for PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

A crossover collaboration event is coming to Overwatch from October 17 to October 30, 2024. You can earn five sprays and a charm for free during the event period and there will be cosmetic bundles available for purchase, tranforming Tracer, Juno, Reinhardt, Kiriko and Reaper into characters of the well-loved manga and anime series.
The following games will soon receive an update:
- StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II are coming to Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on November 5.
- Pets are coming to Fallout 76 sometime in December 2024. You can adopt cats and dogs to live with you in your C.A.M.P.
- Immortal Pillars, the first expansion for the recently published RTS Age of Mythology: Retold was announced to arrive soon. If you have purchased the Premium Edition of the base game, you will receive the DLC free of charge.
These were all new upcoming co-op and multiplayer games announced during the Xbox show:
ASURAJANGSome time in 2025, battle royale action game ASURAJANG will be released on PC, Playstation and Xbox Series X and S. Up to 4 players will form a team to fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic battle arena and will have to strategize and cooperate to be the last-team-standing. The battle royale genre has felt a bit overused for a while, but ASURAJANG looks like it could be throwing a couple new ideas into the mix, gameplay-wise and with the stylish hero designs.
Synduality: Echo of AdaSynduality: Echo of Ada is a new PvE and PVP Sci-Fi Extraction Shooter by Bandai Namco, coming to PC and consoles on January 24, 2025. You will play as a Drifter, trying to make a living by collecting rare crystals. You will be accompanied by an armored vehicle to aid you in battle. You will form teams of up to 3 players to either complete missions cooperatively - or you decide to turn against them, fighting about who will take home all the loot. Would you dare to turn against your friends?
On October 10, 2024, the Beta Phase for FragPunk is about to begin. FragPunk is a 5v5 hero action shooter, that is said to be rule-changing. You will choose a hero, the weapons of your choice and pick Shard cards that make each round feel unique and different. The art-style is punk-inspired, fun and fast-paced and the Shard system really could add a refreshing twist to team shooters.
If you’re a fan of the legendary anime franchise BLEACH and always wanted to convince a friend to become part of the fandom, you will be excited to hear that BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls will feature 2 player local and online multiplayer. Its release it said to be “Early 2025”, for PC, PS4 and 5, as well as Xbox Series X and S. You will choose your favorite Bleach character and engage in 1v1 sword fights, unleashing powerful unique abilities and spells onto your foe.
All You Need is HelpIf you and your friends and family need to add some some color and cuteness to your gloomy, rainy autumn days, All you need is help comes to you rescue. The game is designed for 4 players, but can be played with at least 2 players in co-op, in which case you will have to control more than 1 tetris-shaped creature. You will solve puzzles, strategize and work to together to overcome various puzzle challenges. All you need is help is included in the Game Pass, or available as a standalone on Steam and Xbox for 20 $.
