Co-op Pixels Anniversary - One Year, Zero Clue, Lots of Co-op Games

Happy Birthday, Co-op Pixels!

Today marks our 1st channel anniversary, and we’re so proud to be able to celebrate this milestone with so many of you!

This isn’t just a celebration - it’s also a big thank you. We want to take a moment to look back at the past year, reflect on why we even started doing this, and share a little about what we’re planning for the future.

A Personal Message For You!

If you prefer a written version, we got you covered below.
Otherwise, enjoy our personal video message for you!

How It All Began

Exactly one year ago, we finally hit the upload button for the very first time. Our first video was a Satisfactory guide - since back then, we were super invested in our favorite automation game.

We already had our website running and wanted to share beginner tips that we thought could be helpful. Initially, YouTube wasn’t even part of the plan. None of us knew how to edit videos, write a solid script, or record entertaining voiceovers. Our focus was meant to be written reviews and guides.

But fast forward a year later - we’ve been so invested in making videos that the website often has to wait its turn.

That first script took forever to write, and I re-recorded it for hours until I lost my voice. The editing took forever and still was a total mess. So nothing really changed I guess, haha.

What We’ve Learned

And yet, that video got some humble views. With every new upload, we improved - just a tiny bit at a time.

We have learned so much during our 365 days of being content creators. Two random gamers without any experience and no real plan, spending our evenings and weekends creating content.

Sometimes, when it was rough, we asked ourselves why we’ve been doing this - investing so much time into this hobby of ours. And we’ve had so many reasons: telling stories, helping others stay informed, making ourselves and you guys laugh - or facepalm - at our jokes, and maybe make someone's day a tiny bit better from time to time.

But oftentimes we didn’t even have to find an answer ourselves - we got it from you, our community.

Our Amazing Community

Because you guys have always been here with us, watching our videos, leaving the kindest comments, or one of those precious likes that YouTubers love so much. And some of you even chose to support us with their hard-earned money. So, thank you so much.

When we struggled and questioned ourselves, there was almost always someone coming forth thanking us, telling us that they loved our videos or just shared their opinion with us.

And if it weren't for you and your kindness, we would probably have stopped a long time ago - because believe us, this content creation thing is a lot harder than it looks! Especially at the moment, it’s hard to even reach your own subscribers. You might have seen all the big YouTubers talk about their views tanking - so of course, the same goes for tiny channels like ours. So we cannot thank you enough for your engagement, without it, this would feel like a one-way Zoom meeting into a void.

But it does not, because we’re here together - although we’re all strangers on the internet.

Looking Ahead

And with every upload, we get a bit closer to our one big goal - or at least we hope so. Our goal of helping others find their next favorite co-op game in a big crowd of options. Because we think that games are best played together! And if you know someone who is still lost on which games could be great - send them our way, we have enough cake for everyone!

So, we want you to know that we notice every single new subscriber, we read every single comment, and appreciate everyone of you, no matter how long you’ve been here with us.

Thank you to all of you, our co-op community, and here’s to another year of Co-op Pixels!

What’s Next

We’re always planning new things, but sometimes it’s pretty hard to get our creative visions into video form. We plan to do some more of those “best co-op games” videos that people seem to love, we’d love to do more of those co-op focused reviews, and we’re always discussing to finally try and do more of a let’s play style of video.

The limiting factor is time and questioning what our community would like to see.

So if there’s anything you’d like to see or see more of - this is your call to let us know!

  • More “Best Co-op Games” videos
  • More co-op-focused reviews
  • Let’s play-style videos

Thank You

But that's all for today. Thank you for being here and being part of our favorite people, and we'll see you again in the next one.
