If you're one of the many hunters roaming the wilds but crave even more challenges - good news! A brand-new competitive mode, fresh monsters, and tons of other exciting updates are dropping throughout April and May.
Here are some of the major features of the update!
- New Monsters: Mizutsune finally arrives, bringing its slippery, bubble-blasting attacks, while the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau and the climactic battle against Zoh Shia provide serious endgame challenges.
- The Grand Hub: A brand-new central base replaces the Windward Plains encampment, offering new NPC interactions, activities like Barrel Bowling and arm wrestling, and possibly a visit from the Chef Palico!
- Arena Quests: Take on controlled monster fights without interruptions, with options for free battles and challenge quests that feature fixed gear and global leaderboards.
- New Cosmetics: Fresh outfits, gestures, and pendants are coming, along with a Premium Deluxe DLC pack for extra customization.
- Festival of Accord: Blossomdance: From April 23 to May 7, the Grand Hub transforms with sakura-themed decorations, limited-time food, and festival-exclusive gear and cosmetics.
- Secret Capcom Collaboration: A mysterious crossover event is planned for late May—Street Fighter? Resident Evil? Or something else entirely?
- Summer Tease: Capcom hints that a returning monster will arrive in the next update, and many speculate it’s the Lagiacrus, the iconic Sea Wyvern from Monster Hunter 3!
- April 4: Grand Hub, Arena Quests, and Mizutsune & Zoh Shia arrive.
- April 23 - May 7: Blossomdance Festival fills the Hub with festive decorations and rewards.
- April 30 - May 20: Arch-Tempered Rey Dau event.
- Late May: Secret Capcom collab!
